VMHS manufacturing student advances to national competitions

                The Veterans Memorial High School (VMHS) manufacturing program had a very strong showing at the recent SkillsUSA state competitions, with one student advancing to nationals.

                Ricardo Dela Garza not only placed first in the Manual Machining state competition, he qualified to advance to the national competitions that will be held in late June in Kansas City, Missouri.

                 Corbin Garza earned third place in state Computer Numeric Control (CNC) programming. The CNC team of Brandon Rocha and Manuel Balderas came in first place in district. Jack Cavazos earned third place in welding at the district competition.
