Two Mission CISD Destination Imagination teams advance to global finals

                Two Mission CISD Destination Imagination (DI) teams have earned the right to travel to Destination Imagination’s Global Finals, the largest creative thinking and problem solving competition in the world, to be held May 21-24 in Knoxville, TN.

                The O’Grady Elementary School team known as the Dramatic Foxes qualified after placing third at the state DI competition.                 The R. Cantu Jr. High School team known as The Jumping Amazing Super Optimistic Noodle Squad qualified for the global event after placing fourth at the state DI competition.                 These two Mission CISD teams compete in an open-ended challenge that requires the team members to apply Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math in addition to improvisation, theater arts, writing, project management, communication, innovation, teamwork, and community service.

                The DI Global Finals are expected to bring together over 1,250 teams from 45 states, 7 Canadian provinces, and 13 countries.
