Several students from the Mission High School (MHS) Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) qualified for state competition at the TAFE Teach for Tomorrow Summit. This is the first year for the organization at MHS.
The students who qualified for the state competition are: Jasmin Vega, essay; Zujeith Murillo, exploring administration careers; Yessica Banda and Diana Sanchez, bulletin board; Krystal Lucero, Julissa Perez, and Nicole Reyes, bulletin board; Amanda Lopez, educational leadership fundamentals; Jasmin Vega, educational leadership fundamentals; Julissa Perez, educational leadership fundamentals; Claudia Mendoza, educational leadership fundamentals; Nicole Reyes, educational leadership fundamentals.
To qualify for state competitions, the students placed first or second at regional level competitions held earlier.
