City of Palmhurst donates trees

The City of Palmhurst donated 25 oak trees to Midkiff Elementary School. City and school officials jointly planted the first tree during Earth Day activities at the campus. The campus namesake, Hurla Midkiff would have enjoyed the tree planting. When Mr. Midkiff was a principal, he continually added to campus landscapes and tree plantings.

While the campus and city leadership were planting the first oak tree, all the students were spread out across the campus planting all sorts of garden plants. The student plantings are incorporated into classroom instructional activities.
