The Veterans Memorial High School Mariachis Toros Azules and Toros de Plata attended the Viva el Mariachi Group Contest this past weekend. Both group’s stage performance was judged on group vocals, rhythm section technique, trumpet technique, violin technique, overall performance, and the difficulty level of the music. Both groups earned the top, division one, ratings from their three-judge panels. Each of the groups performed three selections for judging.
