Mission CISD employees to share expertise at Region One ESC Technology Conference

When the South Padre Island Convention Center fills with educators from across the state for the annual Region One Education Service Center Technology Conference, three members of the crowd will be members of the Mission CISD (Consolidated Independent School District) team of educators who will be there to share their knowledge as presenters.

The annual technology conference is designed to help educators explore new ways to help become more successful in the area of educational technology.

Mission High School teacher, Kitty Hutchcroft will present a session on using audio QR codes to spice up a lesson. She did so this spring as a part of a writing and research project for her French classes.

Demian Morquin from Veterans Memorial High School presents his session twice. It will take attendees through the pros and cons involved in implementing a Google Educational Environment in a Chromebook one-to-one initiative.

A session on utilizing Google Drive will be presented by Armando E. Sierra from R. Cantu Jr. High School.

The Region One Technology Conference consists of five different strands that explore: innovation, leadership, promoting college and career readiness, teaching and learning, and technology integration for special populations. The conference runs May 13-15.
