Mission CISD to showcase student projects

Want to see what some of Mission CISD’s (Consolidated Independent School District) best and brightest students have been doing in school lately? The place to be will be Veterans Memorial High School on Saturday, May 17, from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. for the Second Annual Advanced Academic Services Fair.

Each elementary school through high school will have display areas that will showcase student projects. The projects are researched and created by students served through the district’s advanced academic services programs. The displays will include multi-media presentations by the students, who will also be manning the display areas to answer questions and explain their projects.

The VMHS main gym will used as the main exhibit hall with nearby classrooms and the band hall for other performances and demonstrations by robotics teams and Destination Imagination teams.

The event is open to the public and provides a good opportunity to see some of the exciting areas being explored by Mission CISD students as they prepare for college, careers, and life.
