The Mission High School (MHS) Accounting team placed second at the recent UIL Region 4 competition and is now advancing to the state UIL competition to be held at The University of Texas at Austin, May 19-21. Members of the team are: Andy Garcia, who placed second individually at regionals; Diana Del Moral, who placed fifth individually at regionals; and Daniel Garcia.
Iliana Pimentel placed fourth in the Computer Applications contest at the regional meet and will be traveling to the state contest as an alternate.
Another MHS student who placed in the top ten, but won’t be advancing to state is Jazmin Vega. She placed ninth in Ready Writing at the regional meet.
