Students at Pearson Elementary School had the opportunity this past Friday, to create a one-of-a-kind Mother’s Day gift in the form of a personalized Mother’s Day cake. The campus partnered with H-E-B on South Conway. The event also doubled as a fundraiser.
Students could purchase a cake, and then during their PE time, they were led through a decorating session with H-E-B employees.
Students were also taught the importance of good hygiene when handling food products. Some of the topics included hand sanitation and the importance of wearing a hair net.
At the end of the session, students had their own vision of a perfect Mother’s Day cake to take home to their moms.
