For the first time since the school opened, in 2008, the R. Cantu Jr. High School (RCJH) One Act Play team has captured a first place win at the annual One Act Play competitions. In addition to the win, several members of the cast also earned honors: Selee Mercado, best actress; Iris Alvarez, all-star cast; Gyssel Cruz, all-star cast; Elijah Hernandez, honorable mention all-star cast. This is the fifth year in a row that a best actor/actress honor has gone to a student at RCJH.
