The marching band competitions leading to the Pigskin Jubilee have started, and the Veterans Memorial High School (VMHS) Patriot Band has wasted no time earning awards. The band competed in the Golden Tiger Marching Festival at Valley View High School. They earned the Best In Class award for 5A and below schools at the festival.
This was the first competitive performance for the VMHS band in full uniform.
The Pigskin Jubilee marching contest will be held on October 18 at the McAllen Memorial Stadium.
