Members of the Veterans Memorial High School choir recently competed in the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) District and Region Choir auditions. Fourteen students earned places in the TMEA District Choir. They are: Ashley Alaniz, Sandra Barba, Vanessa Cano, Darius Davis, Micaela Lamas, Anthony Lopez, Stephanie McCoy, Selee Mercado, Brian Mueller, Angel Paniagua, Julian Rivera, Aylin Salinas, Dara San Martin, Mark Stuart.
Six of the students also earned places in the TMEA Region Choir and are advancing to the Pre-Area auditions to be held on November 15. They are: Ashley Alaniz, Sandra Barba, Darius Davis, Brian Mueller, Julian Rivera, Aylin Salinas.
