Unity Day, United Against Bullying

October 22 was National Unity Day. A day set aside for individuals to show they are united against bullying. This included many of our Mission CISD campuses. One of the ways to observe Unity Day is through wearing the color orange on that day. We have included a few of the ways Unity Day was observed.
Alton Memorial Jr. High was a sea of orange as students and staff donned their specially designed t-shirts.
KWJH included special presentations by Homeland Security Investigations personnel on the subject of cyber bullying.
At Pearson Elementary School, they wore their orange and had presentations provided by the Mission Police Department.
Roosevelt Alternative School included some information on bullying leading into a presentation by members of the Texas National Guard that was also a part of their Red Ribbon Week activities.
