Veterans Memorial High School band student, Tomas Garcia has earned a spot in the Texas Music Educators Association Region 15 Orchestra. During the auditions he competed against other flute players in the region and earned second chair in the regional orchestra.
Garcia will next compete in the Region 15 Band auditions on November 22 for a chance to earn a chair in the 5A All State Band in San Antonio, Texas.
Garcia has previously earned chairs in middle school regional band and high school regional band.
