In addition to the large number of backpacks with school supplies and support provided by the Greater Alton Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Alton for the annual Back to School Bash, city officials recently stopped by several campuses to drop off more backpacks with school supplies for students. A total of 90 more backpacks with supplies were divided between Alton Memorial Jr. High School, Alton Elementary School, Cantu Elementary School, Cavazos Elementary School, Waitz Elementary School, and Salinas Elementary School.
