Mock Elections

District campuses have been taking advantage of the current election cycle to incorporate the current events into their lessons. This includes holding mock elections. Leal Elementary School recently held a mock election that drew upon the entire campus for the process, serving in all the roles associated with a real-world election. Lessons topics included: importance of voting, the electoral process, math skills, and writing skills. Pictured are students as they cast their ballots under the careful watch of Election Judges. Students used electronic ballots through campus Chromebooks in their voting booths, similar to how adults use an electronic voting method.
