Recent academic successes in Mission CISD continue to catch the attention of other schools in the state of Texas. Veterans Memorial High School (VMHS) had a visit from representatives of C.E. King High School in Sheldon ISD. Sheldon ISD is located in the Houston area and the high school has a population similar to VMHS. Our campus leaders shared how the combination of district academic and campus academic initiatives work together through dedicated teachers to provide challenging educational opportunities and support for students. In the most recent state ratings, VMHS not only earned the Met Standard rating, but also received four distinction designations from the state. Those are for: Math, Social Studies, top 25% student progress, and post-secondary readiness. Pictured are some of the C.E.
