The Mission Junior High School Honor and Symphonic Bands both earned a Sweepstakes trophy at the UIL Concert & Sight Reading Contest held at La Joya High School on March 9.
A Sweepstakes award is received by earning a "superior" rating on the stage performance and sight reading portion of the contest. Students and staff invested countless hours preparing for this event. We are extremely proud of all our Mission Jr. High band students and want to thank the administration, staff, and parents for their continued support.
The bands are under the direction of Head Band Director Annie Rodriguez, Assistant Band Director Meredith Gersten, and Assistant Band Director Jackie Tellez.
