Mission, Texas- Mission Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) students continue to benefit from events sponsored by the Boys and Girls Club of Mission to promote physical activity through intra-district competitions. One of the recent competitions was a basketball tournament for elementary schools. The tournament was divided between east schools and west schools.
Mims Elementary School won the east side girls basketball tournament. Midkiff Elementary School came in second place. Third place went to Castro Elementary School.
Midkiff Elementary School won the east side boys basketball tournament. Mims Elementary School placed second. Castro Elementary School placed third.
On the west side, Cavazos Elementary School won the girls tournament. Pearson Elementary School placed second. Third place went to O’Grady Elementary School.
Pearson Elementary School won the boys west side tournament. Leal Elementary School came in second place. Third place went to Escobar/Rios Elementary School.
