Mission HS Animation Club brings back Best of Show from SkillsUSA competition

The SkillsUSA Animation Club from Mission High School (MHS) recently competed at the SkillsUSA State competition in Corpus Christi, TX in the area of 2D/3D Animation. Students, in teams and individually, created 3D Rendered Still Images that received State Excellence and State Superior ribbon ratings. The highlight of the competition was when Daniela Escamilla and Priscilla Reyes were awarded Best of Show in the State of Texas for their 2D animated short film. The club also received a Chapter Superior Rating award for their overall performance. Raul Garza contributed to both awards with the creation of the Sound Track for the Best of Show short film and his work in the “3D Rendered Still Image” that received a State Superior ribbon.
