Castro readers and leaders make special hospital visit

Members of the Castro Elementary School student council and Gold and Platinum level readers paid a visit to the Doctor’s Hospital at Renaissance Children’s Hospital recently. Their goal was to help make some of the young patients stay a little happier.

Members of the student council made get well cards and attached them to Build-A-Bear stuffed animals donated by the Gallardo family. The Gold and Platinum readers made some get well bags that included a children’s book, pencils, sharpeners, notebooks and other assorted items.

The Castro students were allowed to personally deliver the items to the young patients.
