Karla Ferro, of Veterans Memorial High School’s Class of 2017, took the Gold first place medal from among competitors from 26 states at the 2017 SkillsUSA National Conference held in Louisville, Kentucky last week. Karla competed in the Nail Care category that consists of performing skills in pedicuring, nail enhancements, nail art, a written exam and an oral presentation.
