Students Displaced by Hurricane Harvey are welcome in Mission CISD

As Mission Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) students return to school this week, students who have temporarily located in the area due to Hurricane Harvey can as well.

The Mission CISD family welcomes the families of all who may be living near our schools for a short-term or longer-term due to the hurricane and its aftermath.

In stressful situations that come with an emergency relocation, the structure of a school environment can also help children cope with their situation. Social support services through  Mission CISD are also available to the relocated students.

Please help share the word that a student’s education does not have to be put on hold while seeking shelter in the Rio Grande Valley.

Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the all those impacted by this storm. Mission CISD officials are reaching out to school systems in impacted areas, and Mission CISD schools will be supporting local relief efforts as the school year begins.
