Just before the district’s holiday break, members of the Alton Memorial Junior High School (AMJH) Junior Officers made sure some of Alton’s senior citizens not only enjoyed a Thanksgiving meal, but also some company. The students collected canned goods and bought turkeys for a Thanksgiving meal. The senior citizens were then invited to the Junior Officers’ Feast of Joy at the Alton Recreation Center. The students not only helped serve the meals, but also greeted the guests and visited with them during the meal. Prizes were also raffled off for the invited guests.
