Registration for the 2018-2019 school year to begin January 29

Mission, Texas- Mission Consolidated Independent School District will open registration for the 2018-2019 school year on January 29. For the first time, not only will parents of returning students be able to take advantage of online registration, but online registration will also be available for students who will be new to the district and out-of-district transfer students.

The updated online registration system will make it easier than ever to complete the registration process. Parents will have two options. The Parent Portal, which is now known as Student360.  Parents can also register through the district website, www.mcisd.net and then click on the “Registration” link. Student360 is mobile friendly which means you can do online registration from a tablet, smartphone, or computer.

There is also a Student360 App available, for free, through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The Tyler Student360 system offers more, while also keeping it easy to understand. The Student360 App will make it easier to check in on your student’s progress, attendance, and so much more, anytime…anywhere.

If a parent has forgotten their login, the system can help them reset it. Parent may also contact their child’s school to arrange to receive their system password.

While online registration will be available for parents of new pre-k students, a special Pre-K Pre-Registration Round Up for the 2018-2019 school year will be held February 6 and 7 at each Mission CISD elementary school. The Pre-K Round Up will give parents an opportunity to visit the campus and also take care of any registration forms and information that may not have been completed as a part of the online process. Hours will be 8:00-11:00 a.m. and 1:00-3:00 p.m. both days.

Mission CISD elementary schools offer a full-day pre-k program with no language or income requirements. The district’s pre-k program offers dual-language instruction that can continue with the student through fifth grade, with teachers who meet standards for highly qualified designation. These teachers offer individualized instruction through a research-based curriculum. The Mission CISD pre-k programs also benefit from the district’s technology initiatives.

Students to be registered for pre-k must turn four years of age prior to September 1, 2018. Parents will need a valid form of identification (for the parent), the child’s birth certificate, child’s social security card (if available), immunization records, and proof of residence within Mission CISD.
