Castro Elementary hosted their 2nd Annual Heart Walk on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the track. They invited parents and students to participate in the Heart Walk in order to raise awareness on the dangers of heart related diseases. February is known as Heart month and the campus decided to join the alliance towards good health for a good heart.
The students and staff raised funds in their effort to take a stand against heart disease. They had a walking event in support of this cause. The Heart Walk is an event started by the American Heart Association in order to raise funds to save lives from this country’s number one and number five killers which are heart disease and stroke.
