High school students in the CREW gain insights at recent event

Mission, Texas- Students from Mission Collegiate High School (MCHS) and Mission High School’s T-STEM Academy recently gained some great exposure and insights from tech innovators from within and out of the Rio Grande Valley.

The 15 students are members of the CREW (Career Readiness and Empowerment of Women). This is a Mission EDC internship program designed to provide interns with the soft and technical skills needed to succeed in the Entrepreneurship and STEAM fields through four core areas: Career Lab, Mentorship, Social Innovation, and Coding.

The members of the CREW worked during the Mission EDC’s recent Civic Innovation Summit. According to officials at the Mission EDC, the Civic Innovation Summit was designed to bring together forward-thinking minds of the Rio Grande Valley with the expertise of social innovators, entrepreneurs, educators and policymakers from across Texas and country.
