Precision manufacturing students advance to state competition

Mission, Texas- Two students from the Precision Manufacturing program at Veteran Memorial High School have qualified for the state SkillsUSA precision manufacturing competitions to be held in April in Corpus Christi, Texas. They qualified for state based upon their performance at the recent SkillsUSA District 13 competitions.

Andrew Vela placed first and Ricardo Ochoa placed third at the district level. The competition consists of four parts. They are: millwork, lathe work, blueprints, and machining math.
