Mission High School student, Luana Sanchez, has been selected as a State Finalist in the 2017-2018 UIL Theatrical Competition. Luana Sanchez is a senior at Mission High School representing MHS ENCORE Theatre. Her entry is in the category of Hair and Makeup design. She is the first student from MHS to receive this honor.
The Theatrical Design Competition is part of the UIL Theatre Competitions which include One-Act Play and Young Filmmakers and Theatrical Design. It is open to schools across the State, and divided into two divisions depending on student population, Division I and Division II. Mission High School is under Division II. The Hair and Makeup Category is one of the most competitive fields.
All State Finalists artwork will be on display at the 2017-2018 One Act Play State Competition where the results will be announced.
