VMHS Harlequin Theatrical Design student earns first place at state competition

            Mission, Texas- It has been a banner year for the Veterans Memorial High School (VMHS) Harlequins Theatrical Design Team. They sent two students on to the UIL state finals this year, with one of them coming home with the state championship.

            Caryssa Ozuna topped the 30 other participants in her event to be awarded the 2018 Hair and Make-up Design State Champion. This is a first for the VMHS Harlequins.

            The Theatrical Design Competition is part of the UIL Theatre Competitions which include One-Act Play and Young Filmmakers and Theatrical Design.

            Nadia Reyna advanced to the state competition in the area of Set Design.
