VMHS Jazz Band, under the direction of band director Gabriel Molina, competed at the 10th Annual Mcallen Jazz Festival held at Nikki Rowe High School on May 5th, 2018. The band received straight Superior ratings from all three judges. On top of that, sophomore Damian Gonzalez (trombone), sophomore Brandon Salinas (trumpet), and freshman Laura Barba (flute) were selected as All Star Performers among all students participating in the contest. Congratulations to VMHS Jazz Band students and director on their hard work. Thank you to all band parents, VMHS staff and MCISD administrators for their continued support.
