MCISD parents recognized for their volunteerism

The 2nd Annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon was held on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Krysta’s Event Center. Mrs. Nancy Villarreal, Family and Community Engagement Coordinator, recognized the Top Campus Parent Volunteers, Superintendent’s Parent Advisory Council, School Health Advisory Officers, and District Advisory Officers.  

 

“This event acknowledges all the hard work and hours our parents dedicate to our students and schools,” says Mrs. Villarreal. “We are extremely grateful for their volunteerism and commitment to the Family and Community Engagement program.”

During the luncheon a special check presentation was made to Mission CISD that reflected the amount of dollars the district saved in work hours through the parent volunteer program. The district had a savings of over $133,000 as a result of these great parent volunteers.

 

The Top Campus Parent Volunteers are as follows; Nelda Mata-Arteaga (Alton Elementary), Blanca Estela Rangel (Bryan Elementary), Maria M. Leal-Suarez (Cantu Elementary), Nataly Hernandez (Cap. J. Castro Elementary), Briseida Reyna (Cavazos Elementary), Damaris Bravo (Escobar –Rios Elementary), Adriana Martinez (Leal Elementary), Alma Fausto-Saenz (Marcell Elementary), Amanda Rodriguez (Midkiff Elementary), Esmeralda Gonzalez (Mims Elementary), Irma Anzaldua (O’Grady Elementary), Myra Hinojosa (Pearson Elementary), Isela Hernandez (Salinas Elementary), Patricia Munjica (Waitz Elementary), Maria Martinez (Alton Memorial Jr. High), Elisa Perez-Ramirez (Kenneth White Jr. High), Chris Ojeda (Mission Jr. High), Gabriela Galena (Ralph Cantu Jr. High), Irene Molina (Mission Collegiate High School), Angelica Farias (Mission High School), and Rosario Salinas (Veterans Memorial High School).
