Mission Options Academy celebrates student success at banquet

Mission Options Academy held their recognition banquet on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Krysta’s Event Center. A total of eighty students were recognized for either finishing their requirements for graduation, completing their credits, obtaining their Career and Technical Education certification and/or CTE participation.

The Options Academy vision statement was delivered by Interim Superintendent Ms. Cris Valdez. She congratulated the students for all their accomplishments and gave them a compelling message about making good choices and working hard.

“What you have accomplished speaks volumes of who you are,” states Ms. Valdez. “Everyone has a story to tell, but because you showed determination and “ganas” to finish high school and some have also obtained a certification as well which speaks volumes. Just remember to continue facing forward and never look back.”

Mission Education Foundation board member, Mrs. Minnie Rodgers, was also in attendance to present two students, Rebecca Hernandez and Crystal Hinojosa, a $500 scholarship. Students were presented their certificates and then were able to enjoy a celebratory dinner with friends and relatives.

A special thank you to all the students that participated as part of the program for the banquet: Leonel Dominguez, Sandra Pesina, Chennya Echavarria, Robert Canstañeda, and Ana Correa.
