VMHS students recognized for obtaining their cosmetology license

Veterans Memorial High School Cosmetology students were recognized at the Cosmetology Banquet held on May 25, 2018 at Balli’s Event Center. They were presented with their pink stoles which were worn for graduation. This recognition is for students who had completed a 3- year program, had taken a written exam after 900 hours, and successfully completed the required 1,000 hours required by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. After receiving their state issued license, they can start working in the beauty industry.


VMHS had 27 students that successfully completed these requirements and they are as follows Ruby Arevalo, Mariana Yañez Canelo, Natalie Cavazos, Christina Chapa, Deborah De La Garza, Dariana De Leon, Nicole Flores, Anabel Friend, Mairana Castillo Garcia, Stephanie Losoya, Brianna Luna, Karen Madrigal, Averie Mendez, Aniela Elizalde Mendez, Lizbeth Cantu Meza, Erika Miller, Salma Olivo, Kassandra Duran-Pino, Alessandra Razo, Melanie Rojas, Victoria Saenz, Rebecca Salinas, Valerie Sandoval, Julianna Torres, Analiza Vega, Francisca Villanueva, and Angelica Viveros.
