Mission, Texas- Mission High School (MHS) student, Isla Coronado has earned first chair at the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Region 15 Orchestra auditions. Coronado is also the first student in the district this year to earn advancement to the TMEA Area G 6A auditions that will take place in January in Corpus Christi. At the Area level competition, she could qualify for All-State Band.
Coronado will be performing as a part of the Region 15 Symphony Orchestra at McAllen High School on November 10.
