MHS girls swim/dive team makes school history

Mission, Texas- The Mission High School (MHS) girls swim/dive team made a little school history this past weekend. For the first time, the girls swim team has won a district championship.

Overall, the MHS swimming and diving team did well. A total of 17 athletes have qualified for the Regional Championship. The following students qualified for regionals during 30 6A District Championship Meet.

Boys

Robert Ramirez : 200 Medley Relay, 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle

Jorge Lopez : 200 Medley Relay, 200 Freestyle Relay

Damian Rodriguez : 200 Free Relay, 100 breaststroke

Juan Mancha : 200 freestyle, 200 freestyle relay, 500 freestyle

Hilario Guerra : 200 Medley Relay, 100 breaststroke

Eric Calderon : 200 Medley Relay, 100 butterfly

Issac Espinoza : 200 free relay, Diving

Girls

Carina Martinez : 200 Free Relay, 400 free relay, 50 free, 100 free

Sarah Marquez : 200 Medley Relay, 200 free relay, 200 freestyle, 100 backstroke
