Our mission is to provide a K–12 social studies program that prepares students to act responsibly, think critically, and engage meaningfully as members of a democratic society. We are committed to designing and delivering a dynamic, student-centered curriculum that connects today’s classrooms to the challenges and opportunities of a global world.
Through the study of history, geography, government, economics, culture, and the arts, students will develop an appreciation for the contributions of diverse civilizations and the ways in which they have shaped democratic ideals. Our program challenges students to actively participate in the democratic process, value cultural diversity, and strengthen their skills in reading, research, decision-making, and critical thinking.
By exploring political, economic, religious, social, intellectual, and artistic issues, students will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to understand the past, engage with the present, and shape the future.
Success for Every Student!
