Online Registration is Underway For New and Returning Students!

Our school district is switching to a new student information platform called Focus (it is replacing Tyler SIS), and because of that change all NEW students to MCISD are required to create a new Parent Portal account and use that account to register your child(ren) for the coming school year. Returning students can use the same login credentials used in Tyler SIS and verify students linked to their account.


All student registration will be done online through Focus, though our school staffs will be ready to help you if you run into any problems. Every school is scheduling a few drop-in days when they will have staff members ready to help parents get registered. These are optional. As a parent, if you are having trouble with online registration, you can visit any school on any day and ask for help. You  can also visit our Student Services department located on Pamela Drive across our Central Office building or call 956-323-5578 to set up an appointment for assistance with your Online Registration.


Families and students New to MCISD – will need to upload the following documents in order to complete the registration process:


  • Student’s birth certificate
  • Proof of residency (current utility bill, current lease agreement, or mortgage statement & it must be dated within the last 30 day) A drivers license is not accepted for proof of residency, only proof of identity
  • Drivers license
  • Immunization record
  • Social security number (if student has one)
Please remember that you have to complete the online registration in order for you children to receive a class schedule or teacher assignment. If you need assistance requesting a personal email or parent portal account please contact your campus parent liaison.

Quick tip: Once logged into the system, look for the Parent Update link in the left side of your screen.  Click the Parent Update link and you should see an option for Online Registration.

IMPORTANT: If you do not see all your children in Online Registration, you may not be listed in the system as their "Primary" parent. You will have to call your child's campus to make the switch in the student information system before you submit your registration.


Online security tips when using a public computer.

  1. Never leave the computer unattended while logged on
  2. Do not save logon information
  3. When you are done please make sure you have logged off and close the browser
