Welcome to the Information Systems Department
Hello and Welcome to my page,
As the administrator for Information Systems, my goal is to lead this department to be the best department in Mission CISD. In order to achieve that goal, my number one priority is to provide the best level of customer service to our administrative team, our schools, and our community. To accomplish this, we are in the process of implementing state of the art computer software that will provide all stakeholders access to critical student, financial, and assessment information. This information in turn will enable staff to make decisions in regards to curriculum and instruction needs, staff to student ratios, special programs evaluation, community involvement, budgeting needs, and many other areas of importance to the district.
I graduated from the University of Texas - Pan American with a bachelor degree in computer science and mathematics with highest distinction in the honors program. I worked for two and a half year at American General insurance company in Houston in the IT division. I came back to the valley in 1996 to work for Weslaco ISD in their Information Systems department as a computer programmer. A year later I moved to McAllen ISD where I started as a programmer and then got promoted to campus computer liaison. I worked in Mcallen ISD for about three years. Finally, I was given the opportunity to work for Mission CISD in June of 2000. Since then, I have hold three different positions as a programmer analyst, PEIMS coordinator, and currently as the administrator for information systems. I have been with the district for over 13 years and have shared many experiences with wonderful people in different departments.
I feel lucky to be part of this district, especially in the information systems department because I am surrounded by a wonderful group of people that is very committed to our students, staff, and the community.
Thank you for visiting my page and I hope that some time you can visit us in person.
Have a great and blessed day!!
