Mission Statement
Mission CISD Health and Physical Education Department mission is to prepare students to
become lifelong learners of health and wellness. The major focus will be for our students to learn that along with making good Healthy choices and developing good Healthy behaviors, leading an active lifestyle and putting into practice proper nutrition and exercise habits is the key to lifetime fitness.

Vision
The Mission CISD Health & Physical Education department vision has three objectives:
● To produce physically fit youth.
● To educate young people concerning the essential nature of physical activity and its
relationship to health, physical fitness and a more dynamic, productive life.
● To give students the skills, knowledge and motivation to remain fit.

Goals
The health & physical education goals are designed to reflect the Mission CISD mission and vision to define the special role health and physical education plays in the district’s total
program.
