Unclaimed Property

 
Per Texas Property Code Title 6, Chapters 72-77, local governments, including school districts, are required to report abandoned property greater than $100 to the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts after the appropriate abandonment period has passed. Abandoned property amounts of $100 or less must be reported and maintained by a designated officer of the school district.

The statue also requires  school districts to develop an unclaimed property program for the reporting, delivery, public notification, claims tracking and processing, enforcement and accounting of this locally reported abandoned property.
 
Mission CISD abandoned property of $100 or less is maintained by the Mission CISD Finance Department and will be made available on this webpage.
